One of my favourite things to do for our websites is create these historic archives featuring images from our city’s and country’s past. The archives in cities across the country vary wildly with some being very well populated and easy to use and some being slightly less populated and a bit difficult to navigate.
I recently discovered the McCord Stewart Museum archives and have been spending a lot of time browsing their incredible gallery of images. The website is easy to use and has a variety of subjects and topics to browse.
For my latest collection of images, I thought it would be fun to showcase images of people and their pets. In this archive, I chose to feature Old photographs of dogs from the mid to late 1800s. Let us know which images are your favourites and if you spot anything interesting about the photographs.
