Lukas Mouka is a well-travelled professional artist who has exhibited his work all over the world and now hails from Montreal, Canada. Born in Czech Republic and leaving with his family at a young age, he grew up in Toronto, Ontario and has always been interested in drawing and painting. Later choosing to study art and classical animation to further hone his draftsmanship and figurative skills and to embark on the life of an artist. Lukas’ passions are painting, reading, music, cinema and skateboarding. He is interested in the power visual art has for him to stir up emotions, evoke memories and stimulate the unconscious by surprise and through images that can act as a visual shock. His inspiration for his work comes from conversations with friends, books, dreams, and sometimes spontaneously when he’s least expecting. He believes in being firmly grounded in the present, conscious realm while having an ear open to the less visible unconscious realm. He is very sure that everything is going to be just fine.
