Based in Old Montreal, Brand’s Media Group is a boutique marketing agency that has been specializing in marketing and social media branding and management since its launch in 2020. Founder and Creative Director Sharon Brand first launched the agency because she knew that marketing wasn’t just about selling a product. With a carefully selected team of experts, Brand’s Media Group creates campaigns that build trust and foster a memorable emotional response in customers. We spoke with Brand to learn more.

Brand's Media Group

What is your business called and what does it do?

Brand’s Media Group is a boutique marketing agency based in Old Montreal, specializing in branding, social media management, content creation, influencer marketing, email marketing, and web design. Since launching in 2020 during the pandemic, we’ve partnered with brands in the beauty, fashion, wellness, hospitality, food, and lifestyle industries to build thoughtful marketing strategies that go far beyond social media.

We believe marketing should be collaborative, creative, and rooted in long-term business growth. We also believe businesses shouldn’t have to choose between hiring one in-house marketer or sacrificing quality. Our clients gain access to an entire team of specialists across multiple areas of marketing, giving them broader expertise and resources than a single social media manager could provide, at a more accessible investment.

What made you want to do this work?

I’ve always been fascinated by why people connect with certain brands over others. Marketing isn’t just about selling a product: it’s about building trust, creating emotion, and telling stories that people remember. After working in the industry, I realized there was an opportunity to offer businesses a more personalized, strategic approach. I wanted clients to feel like they had an in-house marketing team that genuinely cared about their success.

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

When I launched Brand’s Media Group in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, many businesses were suddenly forced to rethink how they connected with customers. I saw too many companies treating social media as simply posting content, when in reality it could become one of the strongest tools for business growth. I wanted to help brands look beyond individual posts and build complete marketing ecosystems: connecting branding, content, websites, email marketing, influencer campaigns, and overall strategy into one cohesive vision.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

We primarily work with medium-sized businesses across Canada, the United States, and Europe in the beauty, wellness, fashion, hospitality, food, and lifestyle industries. Many of our clients are founder-led businesses looking for a long-term marketing partner that understands both their brand vision and their business objectives. As someone who was born in Paris and raised in Montreal, I’ve always been inspired by European luxury standards and aesthetics. That influence is deeply woven into our creative approach, allowing us to bring a refined European perspective to brands across North America while combining it with a strong understanding of the North American market.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

We operate through a combination of monthly retainers and project-based services. Depending on each client’s needs, we provide ongoing social media management, branding, website design, content creation, influencer marketing, newsletters, consulting, and marketing strategy. Every partnership begins with understanding the client’s goals so we can build a customized strategy rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach.

Where in the city can we find your profession?

Our studio is based in Old Montreal, but our work takes us all over the city. On any given day, you’ll find our team creating content in cafés, restaurants, boutiques, wellness studios, hotels, gyms, and local businesses across Montreal. The city itself is one of our greatest creative inspirations.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

Question: “How will your marketing actually help my business grow and not just my follower count?”

Answer: Any agency can promise beautiful content, but the real question is how that content supports your business goals. At Brand’s Media Group, we focus heavily on insights, demographics and data to focus on increasing website traffic, generating leads, improving conversions, strengthening brand awareness, or building customer loyalty. Every strategy should have a measurable purpose beyond likes and followers.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part is watching our clients grow. Whether it’s launching a new brand, helping a business reach a new milestone, or seeing an entrepreneur gain confidence in their vision, it’s incredibly rewarding to know we’ve played a role in that journey.

The most challenging part is that marketing is constantly evolving. Algorithms change, consumer behaviour shifts, and trends move quickly. It requires continuous learning and adaptability—but that’s also what makes the work exciting.

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

“Everyone thinks they can do marketing… until it’s time to explain why nobody bought the product.”

PAY IT FORWARD: What is another local business that you love?

Another local business I truly admire is our client, Aurea Maison. We had the pleasure of partnering with them on their branding, website design, art direction for their launch campaign, and now manage their social media. I love their vision of elevating everyday essentials through beautifully designed luxury bath tissue and home essentials, proving that even the smallest details can transform the experience of home. Their commitment to quality, elegance, and thoughtful design is truly inspiring.
