Eric Spicely has a somewhat unusual background for a stand-up comedian. Before taking to the stage, he battled opponents in the octagon as a UFC fighter. Now, his comedy is informed by his life experiences, including his time in the UFC. As an American transplant in Montreal, Spicely has a fresh and funny point of view of the Canadian city. How would you describe your comedy style?
I would describe my style as extremely personal and intimate. I mostly talk about my life experiences. Life before and after UFC

What is your pre-show ritual?
Usually, shadow boxing somewhere like a psychopath. I get the same nerves as a fight; it all goes away when you get up there.

My favourite place was Melrose Resto weds nights!
