My name is Émile. I can’t really tell you my story, but I’m lucky to have crossed paths with the SPCA, which took me in when I was wandering the streets.
I think I’m about a year old, but when you look at me, it seems that every step I take is a discovery and a learning experience. I’ve only just learned to climb stairs, for example. But I’m a fast learner! In two days, I’ve gained in confidence and I’m now independent and can easily live in a multi-storey house!
I’ve also quickly learned that “No” means “No”! I’m also learning to sit up, and I’m clean inside the house, at night and when I’m left alone during the day.
I’m playful and love to cuddle. I’m a big dog but I’m gentle and I also like to take long naps in the afternoon.
I currently live in a foster home with two other dogs, including an older dachshund who has taught me to respect his space. But sometimes I can be a yapper if I come across a threatening dog. I don’t know if I like cats, I’ve never lived with them, or any other kind of animal for that matter.
I may be a little big to live in a home with young children. But I’d be a delight to teenagers and other people who have time to take me for walks, teach me new tricks and give me lots of cuddles.
