Rory Creelman is a photographer based in Montreal, Canada, currently completing their BFA in Photography at Concordia University. Their work draws from their queer identity and deep interest in fashion, creating a visual language that is both personal and aesthetic. Rory creates work that celebrates the vibrancy and authenticity of queer bodies and artistic expression, challenging conventional beauty standards and embracing the full spectrum of gender presentation and identity. Visually, their images are characterized by their saturated colour, eye-catching light, and bold movement. Each image uses dramatic lighting techniques and rich, jewel-toned palettes, and Rory’s compositional choices emphasize movement, confidence, and the unapologetic presence of their subjects. Working primarily in Montreal’s thriving fashion scene, Rory takes pride in collaborating with emerging designers, models, and artists who are reshaping the visual language of contemporary fashion. These partnerships allow them to push boundaries and experiment with new forms of visual storytelling. Through their lens, fashion becomes a tool for self-determination and community building, documenting a generation of creatives who refuse to be constrained by traditional narratives. Rory’s photography serves as both a celebration and an archive of queer creativity in Montreal’s fashion scene.

Which ’hood are you in?
I’m located in the Mile End, and I love it!
What do you do?
I work with local brands, designers, and artists to create imagery that stands out and represents their work thoughtfully and authentically. Currently, I study fine arts photography at Concordia University and work as an e-commerce fashion photographer at SSENSE.
What are you currently working on?
I have a ton of projects on the go! 2026 is turning out to be a very exciting year. I’m currently working with a local festival to re-vamp their media team, organizing my biggest fashion photoshoot production ever, and planning a summer trip to New York, where I plan to work with some local designers.
Where can we find your work?
