Five Minutes With: Montréal Indie Rock Trio Bye Parula

Bye Parula is a Montréal trio featuring Sergio D’Isanto, Sebastián Riquelme and Loïc Calatayud, they’re influenced by film music from the 60s-70s as well as modern indie. Their progressive pop oscillates between raw stripping and polished orchestration. On stage, it’s a chorus of three voices, guitars, bass, keyboards and drums that come together to offer beautiful arrangements and rich vocal harmonies. Bye Parula’s first album, I, was produced by Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson, Black Legary, Gros Mené) and recorded at Mixart Studio in Montreal with Warren Spicer (recording and mixing), Aurélien Tomasi (brass arrangements) and Mélanie Blair (string arrangements).
