My Digital Life: Montréal-based Content Creator Sandman

Sandman is a Montreal-based content creator building a digital mentorship empire for young men navigating modern masculinity. Operating under the handle @sandman_bc, he’s carved out a unique space as part big brother, part coach, part entertainer—delivering guidance on everything from fitness and relationships to mindset, all filtered through his authentic voice as a Haitian-Canadian man. What began three years ago as a way to share his personality and ideas has evolved into a multifaceted platform that reaches a diverse audience: the Haitian community, aspiring men seeking growth, and anyone drawn to his various roles as dad, construction worker, fitness coach, husband, and actor.

Unlike creators who focus on a single niche, Sandman thrives on versatility. He spends roughly three hours per video, drawing inspiration directly from his daily life with creative input from his fiancée, while handling all production solo.

Sandman

What is your channel called and what is it about?

My channel is called sandman_bc. It’s a platform that helps boys grow into men. I create content inspired by everything that surrounds my life.

The overall vibe is a mix of big brother, coach, mentor, and entertainer.

The “Sandman” version of me is:
• An authentic man, deeply rooted in Haitian culture, but with a universal message.
• A content creator who speaks honestly — whether it’s about fitness, relationships, or the mindset needed to navigate today’s world.
• A performer — actor, host, and entertainer — equally comfortable in front of a camera, in a gym, or on stage.
• A committed man who works relentlessly, not only for his career, but for his wife, his future, and his mission.

When did you start it? What motivated you at the beginning?

I started taking content creation seriously about three years ago. I’ve always felt that I had a personality worth sharing and a head full of ideas. Creating content was my way of showing the world who I truly am.

Who were you inspired by? Any influences?

A creator like @iamchristkabeya definitely inspires me. I’m not trying to recreate what he does — there’s only one Sandman. What inspires me most is his consistency, the way he carries himself, and his overall style.

How would you describe your audience?

My audience is very diverse. It includes the Haitian community, young men trying to become better men, and people who relate to different parts of my life — whether that’s being a dad, a construction worker, a fitness coach, a husband, or an actor — all while being entertained.

What is your creative process? Do you have people who work with you?

I spend about three hours per video. Most of my inspiration comes directly from what’s happening in my life at the moment. My fiancée is my main brainstorming partner, but I handle the creation, editing, and entire production process on my own.

How do you monetize your content? Do you also have another job?

I have multiple sources of income. I’m one of the hosts for Montreal Canadiens games, a fitness coach, an actor and model, and I also work in construction. In addition, I collaborate with brands to monetize my online presence.

What is your favourite piece of content you have created?

It’s hard to choose one, because I explore many different topics and formats. However, I really enjoy the video that shows a week in my life, as it highlights how hard I work, why I touch on so many topics, and how all aspects of my life connect.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part is being authentic. I give real advice and real emotions while still being funny and entertaining.

The hardest part is having multiple niches — not everyone connects with every type of content. However, when people land on a video that speaks to them, they’re never disappointed.

What are your future plans for your channel?

My goal is to continue growing across all platforms and eventually make content creation my main source of income.
