Montreal singer-songwriter Moon Davis brings a reflective, gravel-toned edge to modern rock, drawing on influences like Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen to craft music that feels both intimate and cinematic. His debut EP, A Man Without a Faith, released on November 14, now brings the full story together after the success of its first two singles. With a growing local presence and a sound rooted in honesty, Moon Davis is stepping confidently into his next chapter.

Live show ritual:
I like to break the ice with a bit of humour, sometimes self-deprecating, sometimes slightly over the top. It’s a way to loosen up the room and remind everyone, including myself, that we’re here to share something human, not to chase perfection.

EP or LP?
I’d say LPs. I love the sense of journey they offer, the feeling of building a world and letting it unfold over time. I enjoy the focus of an EP too, but an LP feels like the full adventure I’m aiming for one day.
Early bird or night owl?
I’m more of an early bird now, though I used to be a night owl. I’ve spent a lot of nights searching for meaning in the dark, but these days I find more clarity in the morning light.
Road or studio?
Studio. There’s something magical that happens there: ideas taking shape, emotions finding sound. I love the creative energy that comes from collaboration; it’s where songs truly come to life.
Any shows or albums coming up?
My EP “A Man Without a Faith” came out on November 14. I’ve already released two singles from it, and this last release finally brings the whole story together. It’s my first EP, and I’m really excited about it! It’s a deeply personal project that marks an important chapter in my life.
