Recipe for Paloma from Seedlip

With more Canadians choosing to make better drinking choices, and with the holiday season being near, it’s difficult to resist the urge of wanting to enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail while spending time with family and friends during a joyous time.

However, enjoying a classic cocktail that’s free of alcohol can be possible. With tequila, seeing a growing appreciation for its craftsmanship and premiumization, Seedlip’s newest non-alcoholic spirit, Notas de Agave, is a prickly pear, lime and agave flavour spirit, which serves as an elegant substitute for tequila-based drinks.

People claim that the Paloma cocktail originated in Mexico in the mid-20th century, although its origins remain mysterious.

Usually, this casual tequila-based drink is typically enjoyed during backyard barbecues or other relaxed social gatherings, where people can pour their own drinks. Seedlip Paloma

Ingredients:

• 2 oz Seedlip Notas de Agave
• 1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
• ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
• ½ oz Simple Syrup
• 3 oz Club Soda
• Grapefruit peel for garnish

Directions:

1. Add all of the ingredients except the club soda into a cocktail shaker.

2. Shake & strain into a highball glass.

3. Top with soda and add fresh cubes of ice.

4. Garnish with a grapefruit peel.
