Keith Fernandez is a theatre director, performer, and drag artist whose work sits at the intersection of bold storytelling and unapologetically queer theatricality. They trained at Grant MacEwan University and Concordia University, and in 2018, founded Berlin Musicals, a company dedicated to creating full-length musicals and revues that are vibrant, daring, and playfully subversive.
Keith’s directing credits include Sinkhole with Infinitheatre, Hedwig & the Angry Inch, and An Uncomfortable Dinner Party at the Fringe. In 2026, they will serve as Associate Director on Crash at Imago Theatre. Their collaborative practice spans institutions such as Imago Theatre, Infinitheatre, Montréal Arts Interculturels, and Vancouver Opera.
In addition to their artistic work, Keith is the Program Manager of the Artist Mentorship Program at Black Theatre Workshop and the Apprentice Artistic Director at Imago Theatre. In 2024, they were recognized by YES Employment as Most Promising Emerging Theatre Producer.
As a performer, Keith appears in drag as KAJOL, blending theatre, glamour, and camp into performances that are as sharp as they are joyful.
