Khadim Mamba Guirassy is a rising young African talent in the photography industry. He was born and raised in Dakar, Senegal.
Khadim was raised in a Muslim family who valued the teachings of the Quran and Hadiths. He went to a couple of schools in Dakar the last one being l’Institution Sainte Jeanne d’Arc. Growing up young, Mamba was very inspired by figures like his parents, Mouhamed Ali, Michael Jackson, Malcolm X, Nouman Ali Khan and Tariq Ramadan. He believes every one of them shaped the man he is today.
On his 19th birthday, he decided to continue his studies in the cold of Montréal, Canada. Where he currently lives with some of his siblings. He joined John Molson School Business School at Concordia. A couple of months later, he got hired at Canada Moulures.
Khadim believes there’s beauty in everything and everyone. His love for photography started at a very young age but he would always keep the pictures to himself. However, one day he decided to share his photo album with one of his brothers. His brother was surprised and wanted him to share this gift with the world. His brother suggested that he go all into the photography industry since he had everything to be very successful. Since that day, he has been sharing his passion with all of us.

I live in West Island. Dollard-Des Ormeaux to be more specific.
What do you do?
I am a student at Concordia University, currently studying International Business and at the same time completing a Business certificate. I’ve also been working for almost 3 years now as a salesman at Canada Moulures.
When I am off my duties, I enjoy my passion which is photography. I love taking pictures of landscapes, people and anything I find beautiful and inspiring. I believe beauty is everywhere, in everything and in everyone, you just have to find it. So my purpose is to expose what sometimes can be overlooked.
I have recently discovered another passion, which is videography. I love filming meaningful scenes. I am always learning new ways to improve my art. I follow a lot of content creators who I admire, and I get to observe and learn from them.
What are you currently working on?
As we speak, I am building up my portfolio as a photographer/videographer and also enhancing my work web.
I am working on a lot of collaborations with other artists, photographers, schools, associations, poets, content creators, and entrepreneurs. 2024, is going to be a very productive year for me if God wills. I am sure you are going to hear more about me in the future.
I am also working on a new photo Album coming soon. The album is called Melancholy. I am really looking forward to sharing with all of you.
I am also participating in the Agora #Aseaopentoeveryone competition for photographers. My photo called «Binta» has been selected. Let’s hope for the best.
