What is your business called and what does it do?
My business is called Atelier Antheia. Atelier Antheia creates and customizing suncatchers, jewelry, crowns, hats and keychains which include crystals and natural stones from our Mother Earth. Every creation is made with much love and with a reason in mind: to bring joy, light, happiness and positive energy. Because we all need more of that in our lives, right? At Atelier Antheia, customers can also find their favourite crystals and natural stones chosen to create a beautiful collection. From the smallest to the biggest piece or the rarest specimen, we got it!
What made you want to do this work?
I have always been a creative person, but I never had the time to do it full-time. After a back surgery, which put me in bed for a while, I had enough time to become more creative and to search and plan for my next adventure in life. I just wanted to be happy again and to bring that happiness into people’s lives as well, so I decided to do this full-time.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
I find that these days many people are so stressed, anxious and unhappy. So with my creations and my crystals, I am bringing that positive energy into my customers’ spaces, whether it is in their homes, offices or cars.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
My clientele is vast, from children to women in general, to the elderly. As we know now, crystals become very in demand in the last few years, and I was surprised to see the children were so attracted by them. Though the majority of my clients are women, I can tell you also that I have many man shopping for a beautiful decoration or for that unique crystal specimen.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
I have a website and all my social media accounts on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram and I do sell through them. Though the easiest way to find all my creations and crystals in one place is to find me in one of the many shows that I do during the year whether they are arts & crafts shows, psychic & crystals shows, gem & mineral shows or women empowering events.
Where in the city can we find your profession?
I am located in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, the West Island of Montreal, though I do not have a storefront, I do ship from my home and my repetitive and closer customers can come, shop and pick up directly from my home.
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.
Why are my products different or better than the big brand’s names and why should my customers shop for me? I always say to my customers that my creations are made and infused with good energy and positive vibes because they are made by my own hands. When I create, I feel the best, I feel happy and filled with hope. The attention to detail is one of my biggest strengths. Oh! And did I mention that I customize my creations and I work closely with my clients to bring their vision to life in my work? And almost the same thing happens when I carefully select my suppliers and my crystals. I love beauty, uniqueness and quality, so my crystals are a reflection of that as well.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part of what I do is creating. I feel at peace and I am the most relaxed when I do that. The worst part is the fact that almost all the weekends I am travelling for my shows and I am not home with my family. Most of the time I have to leave on Friday mornings and I will just return on Sundays late at night.
