Angelo Russo is a conceptual mixed-media artist who enjoys exploring with materials and techniques that break the boundaries of traditional artwork.
In order to push the ideas of his art forward, Angelo believes in the importance of exploring new mediums.
His own art has evolved from painting to containing sculptural elements such as plaster casts and masks as well as complementing his work with music that relates to the themes of his artworks.
Angelo studied Fine Arts at Concordia University and is aiming to connect with his audience by creating vulnerable art.
Angelo engages in his community by teaching Mix Media classes at the Dollard des Ormeaux Center for the Arts and also organized the Art for Kids Help Phone events from 2018 to 2023.
Influenced by the art of storytelling, Russo aspires to work on projects that will tell stories through a visual and auditory language.

What are you currently working on?
The Narrative series – a series of artworks that express some key moments that have marked me or significantly influenced the trajectory of my life. This is a public journal of sorts, expressed in a visual language.
