Guillaume Michaud is a force of nature in every realm he touches. With an unwavering determination, he consistently surpasses expectations, making his mark as a dancer, DJ, and now an emerging minimal techno producer. From the moment he steps onto the stage, his energy captivates – not just through his performances, but through the stories he tells in every movement and beat. As a DJ, Guillaume’s presence commands attention. His sets are an exploration of rhythm, atmosphere, and connection. This started in the very legal raves (wink wink) we used to throw in the Mile-end and is perpetuated now, every time he gets to play live. In his new journey as a producer, Guillaume brings the same passion, precision, and drive that have marked his every achievement. His artistry is not just about creating tracks; it’s about sculpting moments of pure experience. Except for some questionable hairstyle choices in his teenage years (think Justin Bieber side swoop), Guillaume’s impeccable taste has made him a local sensation, with an undeniable charisma that stops conversations and turns heads. It’s impossible to navigate the room without being drawn into his orbit. Though his teenage hairstyle choices may have raised eyebrows, his current trajectory is nothing short of stellar. Now, as he dives into the world of production, there is no doubt that he will continue to rise – and we, the audience, will be the fortunate witnesses to it.

Which neighbourhood are you in?
I’ve been living in the same apartment since 2019. I’m located in the village, just under Lafontaine Park. I live in a very cute 3 1/2 full of colourful furniture, lots of art pieces and a random collection of street finds. I witness my neighbourhood become more and more chaotic with time, but it’s still full of gems like Sfouf cafe where I like to host meetings, Boulangerie Arhoma where I pick up morning treats when I’m off and Oursin fleurs to replenish my collection of home plants. Its location is very practical for me as I like to walk to get to places, I’m close to everything I need.
What do you do?
I wear a lot of different hats that somehow all make sense together and make me the happiest. Every day I go to work excited to do what I love most. I’m first of all a professional dancer classically trained and graduated from L’École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec. I’ve been dancing professionally for 12 years with well-renowned companies like BJM, MGM, Cirque du Soleil, 7 Fingers, etc. I’ve been teaching dance since age 16 and I now train young dancers twice a week in their high-school sports study program. I love sharing my knowledge and experience with the youth and watching them grow, it’s the most rewarding. I also have a DJ/producer career in parallel with dancing. I’ve been very active in the Montreal underground music scene. I got to play amazing events like Piknic Electronik, and Igloofest. Floral nights and you can find me playing at some of the best clubs in the city including Stereo, Stereobar, Salon Daome, Bar Datcha, etc. When I’m not making music or dancing, I do artistic direction or I put together concepts – everything artistic is what I do!
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently dancing on a show called Pub Royal. For the past 2 years, we’ve been touring around Quebec and Europe. The show and the cast are amazing, I’m so grateful to be part of it. I’m also an assistant choreographer on a big TV show starting soon, can’t reveal too much but it’s a dream opportunity for me. I also recently just dropped my debut EP on Montreal label’s Kookoo Afterdark, a project I’ve been working on for the last 2 years. It’s called Macushla and contains a collaboration with my best friend of all time Naomi. I’m always working on crafting my classes and curating the best playlist for my sets. Every month I have 2-3 DJ performances always announced on my social media!
Where can we find your work?
My music is available on every platform; Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, etc. and you can have a glimpse of my life and stay tuned to all my projects and events through my Instagram.
