What made you want to do this work?
From a young age, I was always fascinated by the transformative power of makeup. I saw how it could boost someone’s confidence and help them feel beautiful both inside and out. This passion for beauty, combined with my artistic inclination and my entrepreneurial spirit, led me to pursue a career as a professional makeup artist and build a business.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
The primary problem we wanted to address with Vitorino Beauty was the inconvenience of clients having to travel to a salon or studio for their hair and makeup needs. By offering a mobile service, we bring the salon experience directly to our clients’ preferred locations, saving them time and providing them with personalized attention and convenience.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Our clientele consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds and ages who are looking for professional hair and makeup services. We cater to brides, bridal parties, models, actors, celebrities, and anyone else seeking a high-quality and personalized beauty experience for special occasions or events.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
Vitorino Beauty generates revenue by charging for our makeup and hairstyling services. Clients can book our team for their desired event or occasion, and we charge a fee based on the complexity of the makeup and hairstyle requested, the number of individuals being serviced, and the location of the appointment. We also offer additional services such as consultations, trials, and personalized beauty packages.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part of being a makeup artist is witnessing the incredible transformation and confidence boost in my clients when they see themselves in the mirror after their makeover. It’s a rewarding feeling to know that I’ve played a part in making someone feel their best. The worst part can be the pressure of meeting tight deadlines or working in challenging environments, such as extreme weather conditions or limited space, but the joy of my client’s satisfaction always outweighs any challenges.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
As a makeup artist, one of my favourite jokes is: “Why did the makeup artist break up with their eyeshadow palette? Because it couldn’t commit to just one look!”
