What is your YouTube channel called, and what is it about?
Welcome to Yeeshkief! My YouTube channel is a space where I blend my passion for vintage fashion with my love for creative expression. I share styling tips, thrift hauls, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look into running my vintage boutique. The channel isn’t just about clothes—it’s about telling stories through fashion and showcasing how personal style can be a reflection of your individuality. Whether it’s styling a 90s windbreaker or finding new ways to repurpose old pieces, the channel is a celebration of the uniqueness that comes with fashion.
When did you start it? What motivated you at the beginning?
I started Yeeshkief earlier this year, but the idea has been brewing for a while. I’ve always had a love for fashion, especially vintage pieces, and I felt there was a gap in content that celebrated both style and authenticity. I wanted to create a space where I could not only share my style but also connect with others who shared that same creative energy. It was a way to get out of my comfort zone and create something meaningful—something that wasn’t just about following trends, but about building a community of people who love unique, timeless fashion as much as I do.
Who were you inspired by? Any influences?
I draw a lot of inspiration from Bella Hadid for her ability to mix high fashion with laid-back streetwear, making everything look effortless. She’s unapologetically herself, which is something I try to channel in my own work. Then there’s Tam Kaur, whose authenticity and empowering content really spoke to me. Her approach to self-expression and embracing what makes us different is something I deeply admire and aim to reflect in my content. I also can’t forget Notyodittewoderos—their fresh take on fashion and the way they express themselves through style is truly inspiring. Their work challenges the norm and encourages others to do the same, and that resonates deeply with me.
How would you describe your audience?
My audience is made up of like-minded, creative individuals who value self-expression and authenticity. They’re people who appreciate vintage fashion, love the thrill of discovering unique pieces, and enjoy experimenting with their style. They don’t follow trends blindly—they’re about owning their look and pushing the boundaries of what fashion can be. I’d say my followers are diverse, ranging from vintage lovers to those simply looking for fresh inspiration, but they all share one thing: a desire to stand out and be themselves, no matter what the world says.
What is your creative process? Do you have people who work with you?
At the moment, I’m a one-woman team! From brainstorming ideas, styling outfits, shooting, editing, and posting, it’s all in my hands. But I like it that way—it keeps everything true to my vision. My process usually starts with a mood or a piece I’m excited about. I’ll pull together outfits, test different looks, and let my ideas flow from there. I’m all about staying spontaneous and not overthinking things. I don’t like to force creativity, so I let it come naturally. I work alone for the most part, but I do have people I collaborate with from time to time, whether it’s for specific projects or styling gigs.
How do you monetize your content? Do you also have another job?
I monetize through a few different avenues. First and foremost, my vintage boutique is a big part of it. I sell unique pieces from my personal collection, and I also work with brands that align with my values and style. Collaborations are a great way to expand my reach, and I love working with like-minded companies that share my passion for creativity and authenticity. As of now, my focus is on growing my brand and continuing to create content that feels meaningful. I’m constantly learning how to build my platform while staying true to what I love, and that’s what motivates me to keep going.
What is your favourite piece of content you have created?
One of my favourite things to create is cinematic styling videos for brands —especially when it involves thrift finds. I love taking a piece that might seem ordinary and transforming it into something fresh, whether by mixing it with other vintage items or adding unexpected accessories. The process of piecing an outfit together and watching it come to life on camera is so satisfying. I also enjoy sharing my vintage hauls and explaining the stories behind the pieces I find. There’s something so special about finding unique items that others might overlook and giving them new life through styling.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is definitely the connections I’ve made with my audience. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that something I created has resonated with someone or inspired them to try something new. When I get messages from people saying they tried a new style or found confidence in their fashion choices, it makes everything feel worth it. The hardest part? The pressure to constantly create and stay on top of trends can be overwhelming. There’s always something more to do, whether it’s staying consistent with posting or juggling multiple projects at once. But I’ve learned to embrace the chaos and keep pushing through because the rewards are worth it.
What are your future plans for your channel?
I’m excited to continue expanding the channel and exploring new types of content. I want to dive deeper into style tutorials, talk more about fashion history, and maybe even expand into other areas like self-expression and personal growth. Collaborations are also a big focus—working with brands and creators who share my vision for building something authentic and empowering. Ultimately, I hope to grow a community where people feel safe to express themselves through fashion and creativity, and where we can all inspire each other.
Where can we follow you?
