Shadow is a 5-year-old mixed breed with a gentle soul and a unique personality. This sweet boy has a soft and fluffy white and caramel coat and deep, soulful eyes that tell a story of resilience and hope.
Shadow can be a bit anxious in new situations and with unfamiliar people, but once you gain his trust, he becomes a loyal and loving companion. A few times, we noticed that he would suggest another walking direction or path when he is faced with a stressful situation (such a smart boy! ). He has good control of his emotions if we allow him space and time to cope with them on his own. He will come to you when he is ready.
Patience and understanding are key to building a bond with Shadow, and he responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement-especially when cheese snacks are involved!
Shadow enjoys tranquillity and values his own freedom in the house. When at ease, he often crosses his paws while resting, a charming habit that reflects his calm demeanour. He also enjoys sleeping on his side beside you while you work, occasionally asking for pets. Despite his independent nature, Shadow eagerly looks forward to his daily long walks. He loves spending an hour or two exploring the neighbourhood, sending and collecting “pee mails” along the way- it’s his favourite way of staying in touch with the local dog community!
Shadow is also eager to play along with any new games you introduce, whether they’re crazy obstacle courses or challenging puzzles. Though he may show a bit of frustration at first, his resilient nature helps him learn and adapt quickly.
While he’s mostly house-trained (some accidents may happen initially), Shadow knows a few basic commands. With his love for delicious treats, he’s always motivated to learn more.
