Thomas Simon Saddier is a remarkably versatile musician, skillfully navigating through a range of instruments from around the world such as the Indian sitar, Iranian santoor, Romanian domra, dilruba, Indian harmonium, oub, and darbouka. Placing himself deliberately within the realms of pop and psychedelic rock, Thomas adds a touch of originality by interpreting his own lyrics in French and frequently playing all the instruments featured on his albums.
His artistic journey is punctuated by significant successes. In 2018, he signed with the Swiss label Urgence Disk Records for the album “La Madrague” of his project Docteur Sadd, thus establishing the beginning of a fruitful collaboration. In 2019, he expanded his musical horizon by releasing two EPs, “Raga Swing Experience” on the French label Monsieur Charles Production, a bold fusion of instrumental jazz and Indian music, followed by “Digitalisation Sentimentale”, a song EP, on the Swiss label Paroisse Records.
In 2020, Thomas reached a new milestone by releasing his first album under his own name, “Une certaine idée de la France”, in collaboration with Urgence Disk Records (CH) and Namaskar Records (CA). In parallel, he made his debut as a writer with the publication of “Genève la nuit” and “L’appareil occidental”, his first two novels. Always in search of artistic exploration, 2022 saw the release of his second album, “Exil Toujours”, and the album “Ex Tenebris Lux” with the label Clac! Records in 2023. That same year, Thomas signed with the Quebec label Woody Music, thus opening new perspectives for his musical and literary career.
