“A Day in the Life” with painter Carolane Pepin

Which ’hood are you in?

I’ve been living in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve for the past 2 years. Being raised in Monteregie, it was a big change for me but I don’t regret it one bit. I love the energy and the vibe of my hood.

What do you do?

I work at a production company in downtown Montreal and I paint on the side. It can be difficult for me to find time but when I put my mind into something, it’s really hard to stop me from doing it when it comes to painting.

What are you currently working on?

Right now, I’m working on my first 3D piece. It will be a semi-abstract portrait where I challenged myself to try a new painting technique. Since I’ve only been painting for 2 years, I like to try different mediums and techniques. I want to surpass my own mind.

Where can we find your work?

You can find my paintings on my Instagram or you can find my portfolio here.
