Feldenkrais Montreal

What is your business called and what does it do?

My business is called Feldenkrais Montreal. I guide people in improving their quality of movement and life through Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing. My offerings include group classes, workshops, retreats, and one-on-one sessions, all with a trauma-informed, queer-inclusive approach.

What made you want to do this work?

Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing helped me transform my life. I went from being in pain and disconnected to feeling curious, joyful, and deeply embodied. These methods gave me tools to heal and grow, and I wanted to share that possibility with others.

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

I wanted to help people reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe and empowering. Many of my clients deal with chronic pain, anxiety, or trauma. I also wanted to create a space where queer and trans folks, like myself, feel fully seen and supported in their healing journey.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

My clients are incredibly diverse, including people recovering from pain or injury, those working through trauma, and creatives looking to enhance their movement and presence. Many of my clients are queer and trans individuals who resonate with my inclusive approach.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

I earn revenue through weekly group classes, private lessons, workshops, and retreats. I also have an online community where people can access free content and purchase premium courses for deeper learning.

Where in the city can we find your profession?

You can join my weekly classes every Monday at 7 PM at Studio 414 in Montreal. I also offer private sessions at my home studio or other agreed-upon locations.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services?

Question: How do you incorporate Somatic Experiencing into your work?

Answer: I use Somatic Experiencing techniques to help clients feel safe, regulate their nervous systems, and process stuck patterns in a way that complements Feldenkrais. It’s a powerful combination for cultivating ease and resilience.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

Best part: Witnessing my clients develop a deep sense of safety and possibility in their bodies, especially when they’ve felt stuck or disconnected for years.

Worst part: Trying to explain what Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing are to someone without a frame of reference—it’s so much more impactful to experience than describe!

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

“Feldenkrais: where we lie down to get up and slow down to get ahead!”

Where can we follow you?

Follow me on Instagram and Facebook for videos, tips, and updates about classes and workshops. You can also join my free community on my website for access to an introductory Feldenkrais course and more resources.
