MTL Preserves

What is your business called and what does it do?

Our business is called MTL Preserves Inc. and we develop and produce artisanal preserves.

What made you want to do this work?

Our interest in eating healthier and going back to traditional ways of living.

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

We wanted to produce foods in a traditional manner without using preservatives, artificial ingredients and colorants which may contribute to illness in the long term.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

Anyone who would like to experience preserves that are traditionally made with a unique flavour.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

We make our money by participating at local markets and events while also supplying local retailers. We research and develop new recipes and ensure that they taste great while remaining shelf-stable.

Where in the city can we find your profession?

We operate out of a kitchen located in the mile end and you can find us at many markets in and around Montreal.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

“What ingredients do you use?” Our products are only made with ingredients that need to be in the recipe. That means you won’t find any preservatives, artificial ingredients or colourants inside MTL Preserves products.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part about what we do is seeing people’s reactions when they experience the unique flavour of our preserves, while the worst part would be figuring out where to put all our jars!

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

“Seems like we’re in a jam”

Where can we follow you?

You can follow us on Instagram and Facebook
