Cody the dog is looking for a new home in the Montréal area

Meet Cody, a 10-month-old large dog full of energy and potential! Cody has an active and excited temperament that requires a family willing to provide him with the education and attention he needs.

Cody has a history of reactivity to other running dogs, but he is willing to take a shelter test to evaluate his current behaviour. He responds to cats with enthusiasm for play, but a gradual introduction over several weeks or even months is necessary if he must live with cats.

As for children, Cody is a young dog who can jump and bite hard, so it is recommended that he be in a family without children under the age of 16, unless the children are calm and the parents have experience with dogs.

Cody is potty trained according to his history, but he will require regular training to reinforce these habits. He will need 2 to 3 hours of exercise per day to expend his boundless energy. Cody may vocalize in the presence of strangers or other animals, and he may show some discomfort with being alone at the moment, sometimes vocalizing in the absence of company.

Cody is a dog in his early teens who requires an owner with intermediate experience willing to invest time in his training. He is very food-motivated, which can be used to reinforce good habits and teach him self-control.

If you are considering adopting Cody, be prepared to work on his responsiveness, basic training, and provide him with a stable, enriching routine to prevent boredom and unwanted behaviors when he is alone. Cody is a dog full of potential who deserves a family ready to give him the love and attention he needs to thrive.
