Five Minutes With: Montréal Pop Artist Berlam

Berlam is a French Pop artist from Montreal and is probably as versatile as they come. Berlam focuses on spreading positivity throughout his music through storytelling and sharing real-life experiences that anyone and everyone can relate to. Known for his uplifting energy and live performances, Berlam has proven to have established his own unique sound and is emerging as one of Quebec’s most exciting up-and-coming artists.

I love to be around my people and enjoy the present moment. The weeks leading up to the show I do a lot of visualization of my performance and I practice with the team that will be present the day of.

I record a lot at home and at the couple of studios that I have access to.

Any shows or albums coming up?

“LILA”, my first album, is releasing at the start of the summer. There will be an Album Release Party for the occasion with a small tour throughout the summer. More updates to come.

What is your favourite local restaurant?

Henrietta, in the Plateau.

What is your favourite street in your city and why?

My favourite streets in Montreal are probably Laurier, Mont-Royal and De Maisonneuve because I’ve experienced so many memories on all of them and they define a big part of my life.

What is your favourite park in your city and why?

My three favourite parks are Lahaie, Laurier and Jeanne-Mance.

What is your favourite music venue in your city?

Probably Club Soda or the Bell Center.

What is your favourite music store in your city?

Either La Rama, Nantel Music or Moog audio.
