When I think of my daughter Sabrina, the first thing that comes to mind is her voice.
She started singing long before she learned to speak, and I had the chance to watch her grow while living her passion. From the age of 7, she began her vocal training and, very early on, it was clear that she had a very special talent. I saw her collect awards in competitions, always with the same discipline, the same determination, and the same dream: to become a professional singer.
She also completed her DEC in pop/jazz singing at Collège Lionel-Groulx, which further strengthened her place in the world of music.
Over the years, I had so much joy watching her explore different styles. I remember the time when she was a keytarist and backing vocalist in the metal band Distoriam. It was incredible to see her on stage with big names like Alestorm.
Then, she shifted toward blues, soul, and funk, and it was with singer and guitarist Matt Gibb that she found her perfect ally. Since 2020, they have been inseparable on stage as in life, and their music is pure joy.
I had the immense pride of seeing her perform on stages I would never have imagined, such as the Casino de Montréal, the Balcon, and even the Montreal Jazz Festival and Trois-Rivières en Blues. She had the chance to share the stage with Quebec legends such as Carl Tremblay, and to open for Hugo Lapointe and Marco Calliari.
Her talent even led her to Mexico, where she sang for three months in Playa Del Carmen. And in 2025, she achieved another dream: becoming a singer on the luxurious Princess Cruises ships, which allows her to sing while discovering the most beautiful places in the world.
I am so proud of the woman and the artist she has become. Versatile, accomplished, and fully in control of her voice. She has this gift of making music accessible and sharing it with all her heart.
She is only just beginning to shine!

Which ’hood are you in?
I am from Repentigny, on the north shore of Montreal. While I enjoy the big city once in a while, I really appreciate the quiet of the suburb. Repentigny is a good compromise for that. I moved around a lot before, and I can now say I’ve finally found my little haven of peace, which is a really good feeling!
What do you do?
I am a full-time professional singer. And as many musicians will tell you, in this field of work, you have to wear many hats! I sing in various styles of music. I can lead a whole show, front a band, and I also work as a backup singer. I can also work in a studio with other artists. I play the piano and some percussion during live performances. I’ve also been teaching music for 11 years now, time flies! My passion is to create genuine connections and moments with people through music. I’ve sung in a lot of different countries, contexts, with many people from different cultures… The beautiful thing is: when the music plays, we all speak the same language.
What are you currently working on?
My main gig right now is with Princess Cruises. I get to perform with my band all over the world on luxurious cruise ships. I truly feel blessed. While it has been challenging, it has also been wonderful. It’s a whole process just adapting to life at sea. You are far away from your friends and family for a long time. You miss home sometimes. But every time I think about it, I come to the conclusion that I wouldn’t want to do anything else. I get to do something that I love every day, and that is a wonderful gift. I like to think that my 7-year-old mini-me(a long time ago) would think that present-day Sabrina has an awesome job!
Where can we find your work?
You can follow me and my band on my social media. This is where we announce all the shows and also our rotations on the cruises. Thank you for your support!
