Cap is a lovable, curious, and very social dog who still has so much to discover about the world around him. He hasn’t had the opportunity to experience many things in life yet and is still learning how to navigate his emotions and unfamiliar situations. With a patient and caring family, he will continue to build confidence and truly thrive.
Very playful, Cap loves interacting with other dogs and actively seeks out canine companionship. His enthusiasm can sometimes make it difficult for him to settle down or respect the boundaries of his playmates. He could potentially live with a playful and tolerant dog following gradual and positive introductions. Living with a cat may also be possible with slow, carefully managed introductions.
As Cap is still learning, he will benefit from a stable routine, daily enrichment, and positive reinforcement training to help him develop self-control, confidence, and independence. He is not yet fully comfortable being left alone and will need patient, gradual support to build confidence during periods of solitude.
Cap is a sensitive dog who can become easily overstimulated in new environments. Because of his high energy, his tendency to jump up and mouth when excited, and the training he still needs, he is looking for a home without young children and with adopters who have previous dog experience.
Cap is a wonderful dog with tremendous potential who simply needs patient, gentle, and consistent guidance. With the right family, he will continue discovering the world at his own pace and grow into a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with his people.
